Well, the weather’s been beautiful here, and we couln’t help but take advantage of the jeans and sweatshirt weather yesterday! Waiting to be sawn, we had a group of three highly figured, super huge Black Walnut logs – covered in bark to give you the perfect live edge on all sides!
You asked, and we responded! Many of our customers request the really thick slabs for their next bar top, dining room table, mantel, etc. In response to your requests, we cut these slabs to 2 3/4″ – 3 1/4″ thick, estimated to dry to 2 1/2″ – 3″ thick. Once we opened the slabs, we saw all of the awesome figure they contain. Loaded with fiddleback, circle grain, curl and more, these will make very attractive pieces to add to your newest project! And, of course, we can’t wait to see pictures!
Soon, you will see the lots listed to our website, ready to be purchased! Keep in mind, they will be going in to the kiln within the next week and will have to dry before shipping off to your workshop. I think it’s pretty safe to say that these puppies are worth the wait!
